...with all due respect, this is not a poem, it is a prose piece, a brief, heartfelt essay. While I admire and share the passion expressed, I acknowledge that it lacks the necessary elements of structure and device that distinguishes poetry from pose. Poets choose from a wide variety of these, such as rhyme, meter, assonance, dissonance, alliteration, deliberate, unconventional word and line spacing to invite the reader to re-construct the journey of the poet's own personal transformative experience.
thank you for sharing your thoughts, I appreciate your feedback. It was an intense experience to write this poem and I have to say that it is a true reflection of the heart and soul. I hope you enjoy the poem and please feel free to share with others, or quote. Thank you again
It has now been three months since I first read your incredible poem. I hope you are well and happy. Your words were incredibly inspiring for me, and I find myself quoting them often ("I know my life is a weather report..."). You must be a very wise person, because you have somehow managed to capture the essence of reality in your poem : )

I’m glad you feel it so much. You are beautiful. I am glad you can see the stars at night and that you’re ready to fly among them.

Thank you. I don’t know what it is, but I feel like we have a connection.
