Limericks are often amusing and carefree, and they have the ability to provide a jovial air to other forms of poetry. In addition, the ideas they provide captivate a great number of poets. How are limericks supposed to be written? Follow these instructions if you want to compose a limerick:

A limerick is a type of humorous poem that is often nonsensical or whimsical in nature. It is named after the city of Limerick in Ireland. The most well-known example of a limerick is perhaps:

There once was a man from Nantucket
Who kept all his cash in a bucket
But his daughter named, Nan
Ran away with a man
And as for the bucket, Nantucket.
