a poet's work
is very simple:
combine words like chemistry sets for kids,
gather them into atoms and molecules and tensions,
Then let the words collide at great speeds in a dangerous atmosphere until they create the most complicated molecule yet: magic.
is its ability to transcend time and space and, most importantly,
the complexity of the universe
to create a whole new world with words.
The traditional epiphany, for example, is a thunderbolt that shatters the poet's cloud of words and awakens them to their true nature.
However, this process can be extended indefinitely with many possible outcomes. I have here provided some examples. Please feel free to consider your own and send them HERE
It's not what I do. It's what I am.
A pen and paper, words and phrases:
A heart and mind, body and soul.
We are the hidden works that we create in silence;
The ink that flows from our minds to fingers to paper-
And then back again.
Aug, Every time I read your work, it doesn't just reveal something new. It reveals the world as something new.
I love this statement because it is so true not only for your works but to all the works of art ever made.
Your poetry is mysterious and it reveals itself gradually, slowly and steadily.
"Artists are like magnets. They attract and isolate the forces of thought and imagination."
