You're leaking, the vessel of life.
The saltwater oceans are filling in the cracks,
the caverns below your surface.
You feel like a jigsaw puzzle that's been scattered, with pieces blowing across the sky in all directions. But if you compose yourself and bring it together slowly, patiently-
each piece as it finds its home- then there is a chance for peace.
Then you can make the lives of all the creatures, who have persevered through the ages, work together.
It's a long shot. You are all in this together.
We're not so different, you and I. We both take in what the world gives us.
I chose to be born into this life. You chose to be born into the world.
All of those creatures who have lived and breathed, who have run and fought for their lives, some of them for thousands of years, all of their memories, living with them in your mind. All the people you've met and loved and lost, all the questions unanswered.
And then there's me- a collection of memories that go back before the beginning of time, in a place so far away, who knows the meaning or purpose?
But I feel like something's happening down there.
I know it because I feel it.
"Oh Fate" is a lament about the power of destiny, an essential topic in Roman and Greek mythology, where destiny is a force that dominates over gods and humans alike.
Many individuals thought they had little control over their fates at the time of the poem's writing; at the same time, the poem calls out to grab the lovely moments that miserable existence has to offer.
Carl Orff created Carmina Burana, a cantata based on 24 verses from the medieval collection of the same name, between 1935 and 1936. Musical composition Carmina Burana: Chorus, Instruments, and Magical Images, is its full name . On June 8, 1937, the Oper Frankfurt had its debut performance. Catulli Carmina and Trionfo di Afrodite are both included in the musical triptych known as Trionfi. "O Fortuna" opens and closes the "Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi" part of the work.
Poets often turn to other poets as inspirations. What is fate? Fate can mean many things. The meaning of a poet's life. The fear of vanity born from the uncertainty of the future and uncertain results.
Another question is how to become a poet? Here are some tips.
2022 = 1937? Why is there human symbolism such as the "the good and evil"? If I am wrong about this date, please correct me.
Carmina Burana make me feel really energized. Thank you Aug for writing this brilliant poem!
