Hooked
The raindrops
are drumming
your favourite song
fingertips
moving at the speed
of the heArt
the fill-in
highlighting
the most important
groove
as the words
flow and move
your soul
dancing in between
the lines
as you follow
the hidden
signs
buried underneath
rhymes and phrases
as the wind
turns
the pages
as interpretation
chases meaning
swirling
a spiderweb
of coffee scent
and paper
cuts
bone-deep
passion
singing with
expression
the hands of imitation
fondling
with imagination
a creation
of syllables and sounds
the eye reads
but the heart pounds
the soul listens
and love,
love
leads.

Ok love was at first sight like a dream come true
My heart never left her it's bests to this day
Her hair of gold and eyes of love
We had our dream come true and Deep Down
My life is is weathering and Fallin pieces of my life
Her soft embrace and sacred hearts
We bond like no other and share our trust
Thank you, Aug, for the clean insightful response. You caught my drift, for sure. Regarding the innate optimism, I have always been encouraged by the MLK quote, "The moral arc of the Universe bends toward justice."
